It's truly the beginning of a new fashion season when unabashedly high fashun videos start to roll out. This week saw the release of three campaign videos that you absolutely don't want to miss. Each video sets a completely different mood for Winter. Which mood will define your wardrobe in the coming months?
Designer Altuzarra joined forces with online boutique My Theresa to show off his sensual Winter collection. Watch as model Agne Konciute saunters onto the screen in purposeful, languid movements and stares at you with a knowing smugness. The accompanying pulsating beats are as dramatic as the designer's sleek monochromatic collection. Warning: May result in an urge to strut and shop.
Valentino will make you swoon in their latest The Wizard of Oz themed video aimed to promote it's Tan-go shoe collection. Watch as their sparkling red heels dance their way across the screen and into your hearts. Trust Valentino to put a smile on your face.
Rodarte are no stranger to fantasy-inspired collections. This season's dungeons and dragons style collection drew inspiration from films such as The Lord of The Rings and The Never Ending Story. Watch as newcomer Sidney Williams ventures through suburban LA into an alternative universe complete with a fairy guide and unicorn to rescue an imprisoned Elijah Woods. The video is trippy, but strangely compelling. Look out for the collections' must-have piece: a dragon-shaped ear cuff.
Forget about the clothes at last night's Myer Spring/Summer 13-14 runway show. I'm lusting over the slicked back sea-tousled hair. Simply put, this look hits the right note thanks to its powerful silhouette and soft texture. If Australia was a hairstyle, this would be it. Truly puts new meaning into the phrase business in the front, party in the front.
Smooth over the
hair gently using a smoothing brush to remove tangles.
Beginning at the
front of the head, take a horizontal section about threeinches
across and one inch deep, back brush the roots gently and wrap away from
the face with a medium curling iron. Remove the curling iron and pin hair into
place with a Kevin Murphy Pin.Clip, leaving the ends out.
Repeat the same
technique on each side of the head.
Let the hair sit
until it cools.
Beginning at the
back, remove the clips one by one and smooth over as you go, bringing the
sections together using a smoothing brush.
Using a little
Kevin Murphy Session.Spray, smooth the sides straight back from the face and pin to control
the hair, smooth all the way to the ends of the hair creating an
undulating wave and not a curl.
To finish, take
some Kevin Murphy Super.Goo and apply using a flat palm movement to stretch out and control
the wave from the nape to the top. Allow to relax before again molding with
your palms as you go. Finish with a light mist of Kevin Murphy Shimmer.Shine.
I just can't resist blinding lights, bright colours and gritty, unapologetic rock. And apparently Kings Of Leon got my neon memo. Their latest track Supersoaker ticks all the boxes. Honestly, don't bother watching the video - staring at a neon, glowing sign for that long has got to be bad for you - but hit play, close your eyes and just enjoy.
The hardest thing about Sundays should be choosing whether to have eggs benedict or pancakes at brunch. When it comes to Sunday funday keep it simple stupid. There's nothing quite like pulling on your favourite jeans and jumper. Turn easy comfort into easy chic by adding rose gold bling and chestnut-toned leather to the equation.
